Mata Vaishno Devi Tour

Places Covered: Delhi - Jammu - Katra - Darshini Darwaja - Banganga Temple & Bridge Charan Paduka Temple - Adikumari - Hathimatha Ascent - Holy mother Shrine.

This short trip takes you to the holy cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi who is said to be the manifestation of Mother Goddess. The overall ascent that starts from Katra to the temple is about 12 kilometers. There are several smaller shrines on the way that indicate the way that Mata Vaishno Devi took to the cave. The story says she was fleeing away from a saint who had turned evil known as Bhairavnath to avoid killing him. At the site of Banganga Temple, she shot an arrow in the earth to get some water to drink and her footprints are enshrined at the Paduka Temple. She is believed to have resided at Ardhakumari Cave Temple for nine months, after which she finally settled at the present site of Vaishno Devi Shrine after killing Bhairavnath. It is said that Bhairavnath then asked for her forgiveness in his dying moments.

Day 01: Delhi
Receiving of guests from Delhi railway station-explore the city. Vaishno Devi Yatra Package

Day 02: Jammu
Drive to Jammu.

Day 03: Jammu - Katra - Morning arrival at Jammu.
Afternoon explore the city of Jammu. Leave for Katra in the evening and on arrival, check-in at the Hotel.

Day 04: Katra - Mata
Vaishnao Devi Temple - Early morning Trek* to Mandir (16 kms). Return by evening. Night halt.

Day 05: Katra
Explore the city of Katra- Relax after trekking.

Day 06: Delhi - Drive to Delhi
