Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
Company representatives from TNS will receive you on arrival at the international airport in Delhi late in the night or midnight. They will transfer you to your hotel, where you can relax and will stay overnight.
DELHI: Delhi, has seen the rise and fall of many empires which have left behind a plethora of monuments that the grandeur and glory of bygone ages . A city, which traces its history to Mahabharata, New Delhi or the Capital of India, is sprawled over the west bank of the river Yamuna. It is one of the fastest growing cities in India. Historically, the city has long since been the foremost in political importance with successive dynasties choosing it as their seat of power, between the 13th and the 17th centuries.
Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast, our company guide will meet you at hotel's lobby and take you to a full-day guided sightseeing tour of New and Old Delhi.
OLD DELHI - A sight-seeing tour of Old Delhi would entail visiting the Raj Ghat - the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated; Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India; and the Red Fort - once the most opulent fort and palace of the Moghul Empire.
Enjoy the
cycle rickshaw ride from Jama Masjid to Chandni Chowk.
NEW DELHI - An extensive sightseeing tour of New Delhi would include a visit to the Humayun's Tomb, the Qutub Minar, a drive along the ceremonial avenue - Rajpath, and cruising past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House, the President's Residence, and Lotus Temple. It would end with a drive through the Diplomatic Enclave.
In the evening, proceed to see the
DANCES OF INDIA show in the evening before retiring to your hotel for the night.
Delhi : India's capital & a major gateway to the country, contemporary Delhi is a bustling metropolis which successfully combines in its fold the ancient & the modern. Its strategic location was one of the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power. New Delhi also reflects the legacy the British left behind . The division between New & Old Delhi is the distinction between the capitals of the British & the Moghuls respectively. So, wherever the visitor goes, he will invariably confront the citys' past.
Overnight will be at Delhi.
Day 03: Delhi - Jodhpur - Jaisalmer
Early morning transfer for flight to Jodhpur. Reach and proceed to Jaisalmer by surface. Reach and check in at hotel. Overnight will be at Jaisalmer.
Day 04: Jaisalmer
After a relaxed breakfast proceed for full day sight-seeing tour of The Golden City - Jaisalmer. It is in the heart of the Great Indian Desert. Its temple, fort and palaces are all built of yellow stone. Stay overnight at Jaisalmer.
Day 05: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur
Proceed in the morning after a leisurely breakfast and reach Jodhpur. Relax in the hotel and visit the museum of
UMAID BHAWAN PALACE. Overnight will be at Jodhpur.
Day 06: Jodhpur - Udaipur
Transfer to airport in the morning for flight to Udaipur. Reach and check in at hotel. Relax in the evening. Overnight will be at Udaipur.
Day 07: Udaipur - Jaipur
Proceed for sight-seeing tour of Udaipur after breakfast, stopping first at City Palace. Here you will marvel at rooms with mirrored walls and ivory doors, colored glass windows and inlaid marble balconies and the Peacock Courtyard.
Also visit the lovely Sahelion-ki-Bari Gardens, the Jagdish Temple and the local folk Museum. Overnight will be at Jaipur.
Day 08: Jaipur
Breakfast will be at hotel. Proceed for excursion to Amber Fort in the outskirts of Jaipur. Elephant ride ascent to the fort. Visit a rug factory and see the ladies at the intricate work or a gem factory and see the gem cutting and polishing process. Overnight will be at Jaipur.
Day 09: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
Visit Itmadullah's Tomb built by Empress NOOR JEHAN in memory of her father (The interiors of which are considered better than the Taj). Spend the night at Agra. After breakfast at the hotel in morning, you will proceed to Agra by road, enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri.
Day 10: Agra - Varanasi
Proceed for sight-seeing of
TAJ MAHAL after breakfast. Further drive to Varanasi by road. Arrive varanasi and check-in to your hotel. After having some rest proceed for the sightseeing tour of Varanasi.
Varanasi is the world's most ancient living city. Sunrise on the riverfront, as seen from a boat, can be spiritually uplifting sight. Crowded with temples, and its labyrinth of streets, the city attracts the maximum number of tourists. The religious capital of hinduism, varanasi is the carpet manufacturing place of india. It was previously known as kashi - the city that illuminates. The present name is derived from the fact that the city is at the confluence of the rivers Varuna and ASI.
Evening -
Prayer ceremony at the banks of
River Ganges in Varanasi. Overnight will be spent at Varanasi.
Day 11: Varanasi
You will visit Sarnath, 5 miles out of Varanasi, for a day excursion. One of the holiest Buddhist sites in the world, Sarnath is the place where Buddha preached his first Sermon in 590 BC. Witness the ruins of a once flourishing Buddhist monastery and then, visit a fine Museum which houses an excellent collection of Buddhist art and sculptures found at the site.
Spend the evening shopping in the lanes of Varanasi. Overnight will be at Varanasi.
Day 12: Varanasi - Delhi
Drive very early morning to The Daswamedh Ghat and take a boat ride on the sacred river Ganges. See the cremation Ghats and witness the living traditions of one of the world's oldest and most important religions.
Transfer to airport for flight to Delhi. TNS Travel will arrange a
FAREWELL DINNER before reaching the airport for flight home with sweet memories of India.
