How to Reach Gulmarg
To reach Gulmarg, the best route is to fly up to Srinagar and then travel by road from there. Like several hill stations, it does not have a railway stop or airport of its own.
By Road: Good roads and regular and frequent bus services connect Gulmarg to most of the major cities of Jammu & Kashmir. The bus services include regular state-owned buses, private buses, deluxe buses and luxury coaches.
By Rail: The nearest railway station to Gulmarg is at Jammu, 302 km away. Jammu has regular trains running to and from all the major cities of India including
Delhi and Amritsar. If you hire a taxi, it takes about three to four hours to reach Gulmarg from Jammu.
By Air: The closest airport to Gulmarg is at Srinagar, 56 km away. Srinagar offers daily flights to and from Delhi. It also offers flights to other Indian cities as well.
