The bird population rises incredibly with the arrival of monsoons as migratory waterfowls, including rare Siberian Cranes, come to the park in millions. Waterfowls of the park include bareheaded geese, pintail ducks, ruddy and common shelduck, common teal, widgeon, shoveler, red crested pochard, gadwall, and mallard. Predatory birds include imperial eagle, marsh harrier and laggar falcon. Common Indian birds found here include Kingfishers, Red Vented Bulbuls, Quails, Partridges, Parakeets, Sunbirds, and Sparrows.
