The itinerary also covers the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri that was painstakingly developed by the greatest Moghul Emperor Akbar to be the seat of his ever-expanding empire. However, the unfortunate scarcity of water in the region forced him to move to a more convenient place. Recently, Fatehpur Sikri was featured as the Mughal household in the movie ‘Jodhaa-Akbar’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai. The Taj Mahal of Agra is world renowned while the monuments, forts and palaces at Delhi and Jaipur will surely strike a chord with your imagination and aesthetics.
