DAY 01: Mumbai
You will receive a warm traditional welcome by a company representative from TNS at the Mumbai Airport, as soon as your flight lands. Mumbai is the financial and commercial capital of India and seat of Bollywood or Hindi Cinema. Famous as the City of Dreams, Mumbai has a vibrant nightlife and a number of scintillating excitements. The company representative will take you to the luxury hotel The Oberoi, where a room will already be booked for you.
After you have checked in, the hotel serves you a free welcome drink to help you relax. This is the time when you can discuss your itinerary in detail with the company representative, make enquiries and fine-tune your travel experience according to your preferences. Take proper rest to overcome jetlag and be fresh for the exciting sightseeing tour next day.
DAY 02: Mumbai
Luxury tour brings you the best of both worlds. While you travel across different terrains and learn about various cultures, your tour operator makes sure that you have all the comforts you desire to make you feel at home. After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will go on a half-day excursion to the famous Elephanta Caves. These ancient caves date back to the 6th century and are made out of solid rock.
You will reach back Mumbai by afternoon, where you will go on a shortened sightseeing tour of the city after lunch. Mumbai has several highlights that you will like to visit but the architectural splendor of the Victoria Terminus and the Gateway of India have become emblems of the city. You will also visit the Hanging Gardens, the Flora Fountain and the Prince of Wales Museum before losing yourself in the vibrant and colorful crowd of the Chowpatti Beach. Sand and sea at this beach attracts thousands of visitors every evening who come here to forget their worries and find joy and amusement in the infectious gaiety of the place.
DAY 03: Mumbai - Udaipur (By Air, Usual Time Taken: 45 minutes)
You will be served an early breakfast, as you get ready to check out of the hotel and catch the flight to Udaipur at the domestic airport. Udaipur is considered the Venice of the East and is the most romantic city of Rajasthan. A perfect destination after visiting the city of dreams, Udaipur is also known as the City of Lakes and looks like an oasis in the desert state. At Udaipur, you will check in at The Oberoi Udaivilas where you can spend rest of the day at leisure.
DAY 04: Udaipur
A grand breakfast will energize you for the exciting journey
through the city. Sahelion-ki-Bari is a well-panned garden,
which was once meant exclusively for royal ladies. The local
folk museum provides you with a bird-eye’s view of the
local traditions and lifestyle while the Jagdish Temple in
the City Palace Complex of Udaipur is the largest temple of
the city with beautifully carved pillars and ornate ceilings.
The romantic luxurious boat ride on Lake Pichola as the sun
sets caps it all with an ethereal beauty that will be etched
in your mind forever.
Day 05: Udaipur - Jaipur (Distance by Road: 425 km, Usual Time Taken: 8 hrs)
From dream to romance to royalty, this luxury tour exploits your wildest desires. After the delicious breakfast, check out of the hotel at Udaipur and get set for the long drive to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan where the glory of the erstwhile royalty still has a commendable hold on how the city presents itself to the tourists. The modern conveniences at the Pink City have not marred the old-world charm at all. Rather, they have made it all the more alluring and tempting for the foreigners. At Jaipur, you will check in at the
Oberoi Raj Villas for overnight stay.
DAY 06: Jaipur
The traditional breakfast cuisine will set you in the mood of being treated as a royal guest and the regal ride on the elephant to Amber Fort will be an honor that you deserve. The Palace Complex at Amber has several architectural surprises and treats for you such as the Hall of Mirrors in which a single candle can light up the entire hall with an unimaginable luminosity, brightness and majesty.
Other highlights of Jaipur are Jantar Mantar or the Royal
Observatory with masonry astronomy instruments that are accurate
till date,
Hawa
Mahal or the Palace of Winds with an ingenious natural
air-conditioning system and a honeycomb façade that
kept royal ladies hidden from outside view and yet allowed
them to see everything that happened in the central market
area, and the City Palace Complex. Many foreign tourists love
to visit the rug and gem factory in the evening, where they
can see artisans working with precision and focus necessary
to produce the best.
DAY 07: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
(Distance by Road: 235 km, Usual Time Taken: 5 hrs + 2 hours for touring Fatehpur Sikri)
You will be served a tempting breakfast before you check out of the hotel at Jaipur and leave for Agra. Enroute, you will visit Fatehpur Sikri, the model town developed by Emperor Akbar in the honor of Sheikh Salim Chisti who blessed him with a son and an heir to his throne. Fatepur Sikri is a beautiful structure and would have been the best planned city of Mughal era, if it did not have to be abandoned only a few years later because of the scarcity of drinking water. Several scenes of the historical movie Jodhaa Akbar, starring Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan, have been picturized here. Panch Mahal, the palace of Rani Jodha Bai; the Dargah of Sheikh Salim Chisti; and Buland Darwaza or the Royal Entrance are some of the most famous parts of the city.
At Agra, you will check in at the Oberoi Amar Vilas for overnight stay.
DAY 08: Agra
Early morning, you will be served with a yummy breakfast to
help you through the thrills of the day. The highlights of
the city are the
Agra
Fort, which is hundred years older than its famous cousin
– the Red Fort of Agra; the marble memento of an emperor’s
love for his queen –
Taj
Mahal and the tribute of beautiful and creative Empress
Noor Jehan to her father – Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb.
One of the Seven Wonders of the World, the white marble Taj Mahal has several unique features including the inlaid stonework of precious and semi-precious stones and clever use of Hindu and Islamic motifs. Tourists love to take memories of Taj home in form of a mini Taj available in the narrow lanes of Agra’s market and other handicraft items as souvenirs and gifts for loved ones. You may shop in the evenings before retiring to your hotel for the night.
DAY 09: Agra - Delhi
(Distance by Road: 201 km, Usual Time Taken: 4 hrs)
After breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and proceed to Delhi, visiting Sikandra en-route. Sikandra is the tomb of the greatest Mughal Emperor Akbar. It is said that Akbar started building his tomb during his lifetime but his son and heir Jehangir finally completed it, after Akbar died.
Delhi is the final destination of the famed Golden Triangle tourist circuit, the other two being Agra and Jaipur. At Delhi, you will check in at The Imperial or
The Oberoi and relax for the rest of the day to refresh yourself for the next day.
Day
10: Delhi
The company guide will meet you at your luxury hotel at the appointed time after you have finished your breakfast and take you on a guided sightseeing tour of India. Delhi is the Capital of India and has been a theater for political drama and struggles ever since 13th century. Its landmarks are witness to the important events of the history of the city. The Red Fort in Delhi is a massive stronghold with a dream-like palatial complex and is the heart and pride of India. The Prime Minister unfurls the tricolor here on every 15th August to mark the Independence Day of India.
The defence line-up and military power is displayed to all
Indians on 26th January as the Republic Day Parade proceeds
on the Rajpath extending from the Rashtrapati Bhawan or the
President’s House to the
India
Gate that occupies the center stage in Lutyen’s
Delhi, better known as New Delhi. The Chandni Chowk Market
in Old Delhi is known to be the Asia’s biggest and oldest
market and its specialized narrow lanes are famous for its
exceptional bargains and shopping choices. Other highlights
of Delhi are the
Qutub
Minar, the Raj Ghat and the
Lotus
Temple.
In the evening, Dances of India show is organized at 18:45 hours to promote various dance forms of India and entertain tourists. The company representative from
TNS will then treat you to a parting dinner and drop you at your luxury hotel in Delhi.
DAY 11: Delhi
The last day of your luxury tour has no big plans. Simply the day of return, you will not be able to help yourself from reminiscing the wonderful memories of the trip as you catch your flight to home at Delhi’s International Airport.
